The Harrisonburg Education Foundation (HEF) was established in 1994 as a resource for citizens, businesses and estate representatives who wish to provide tax-deductible donations and gifts to the Harrisonburg City Public Schools. Our mission is to enrich the educational experience for all students in the Harrisonburg City Public Schools. We are a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization governed by a board of directors representing business, industry, higher education, public schools and community organizations. What We Do WE encourage community financial support for public education. WE award grants for specific teacher-initiated classroom programs. WE provide scholarships for graduating Harrisonburg High School students. WE recognize and celebrate excellent teachers. WE support enrichment opportunities for teachers and administrators. WE maintain a teacher supply depot available to all Harrisonburg City Public Schools employees. |
